Cancel on PETS

Hi I am new to the server but is this normal all pets / summons dont lose any buff with cancellation / steal divinity / pvp weapon cancel ?
Why is this? Is this correct, or an issue?

Cancel and PVP cancel weapons work. Steal doesnt work on pets.
