Scryde X5 Classic has been running for almost two months: evening online holds at 4,200–5,000 players — and that's with one window per player. We want to know what you really think of the server. What you enjoy, what annoys you, what's missing — tell us honestly. The best feedback will be rewarded with Gold Coins on any Scryde server.

We'd also like to hear your opinion in advance: should Scryde X5 Classic be merged with Scryde X2 in the future? We don't want to decide this without you — players' opinions will be taken into account when we make the decision.

What to tell us​

Answer the questions below — all of them, or only the ones you have something to say about:

• Overall impression. Rate the server from 1 to 10 and briefly explain your score.
• What do you like? What keeps you on X5 that other servers don't have.
• What don't you like? What gets in the way, annoys you or makes you think about leaving.

Feedback can cover general aspects of the game (economy, Olympiad, sieges and divisions, class balance, online) as well as specific details (for example, playing a spoiler on X5, farming champions, the Alt+B buffer and Mana Refresh, division essences or Gear Score). Show your expertise in the area you know best!

Reward​

Useful feedback earns 100 to 5000 Gold Coins, depending on its quality.

Evaluation criteria:

• Detailed analysis with examples, improvement suggestions and solid reasoning — 3 points;
• Well-structured ideas with minimal reasoning — 2 points;
• Surface-level comments or general statements without specific suggestions — 1 point;
• A unique idea that doesn't appear in other feedback — +2 points.

Coins per points:

• 1 point — 100 to 300 coins;
• 2 points — 300 to 1000 coins;
• 3 points — 1000 to 1500 coins;
• 4 points — 1500 to 3000 coins;
• 5 points — 3000 to 5000 coins.

Important: we reserve the right not to reward one-line or uninformative messages. A plain "for the merge" or "against the merge" without an explanation will count in the vote, but not for a reward.

Timeline​

• Feedback collection runs from October 25 to November 14 inclusive;
• Rewards will be credited within 15 days after collection ends, to the server you specify;
• The results and the final decision on the merge will be announced in this thread and in our Telegram.

Overall rating : 7.5-8.0

Merge: My opinion is that, if the server DOES merge, I would have definitely included the marathon and events like Halloween in the x5 server as well. In scryde history the servers that merge have always been FAVOURABLE for farm rather then worse than the server its being merged onto when it comes to farm and getting items.


What I think could change or be improved:

Cov: I don't like the fact that the penalty for speed is 20% but the bonuses are 10%. I believe either both the penalty and bonus should be 10% or 20%.

Hourly events: I understand its a 'classic' server but I don't think adding hourly events like death match, Hero, TvT, CtF etc would hurt the integrity.

Custom skills in olympiad: I don't think any class should have custom skills like Bards in 1v1 olympiad.

Olympiad: I believe there should be more days in the week where you can play 1v1 olympiad, I believe 2 days is not enough, at least 3 days would be great but ideally I would have 4 days (Thursday > Sunday)

Overall Impression​

9/10. I give this rating because it is a very enjoyable server to play on — something in between a cap-level server and a high-rate server. The rates are perfect for today's standards, and the server introduces something new that has never been available on Scryde before.

What do you like?​

The most important thing that keeps me playing here and makes me want to stay for the long term is that the server is almost entirely classic. There are no new locations, amulets, events, or other features that can be found on other Scryde servers. Playing with only one client is the very essence of classic Scryde 2.

What needs improvement?​

The only thing I believe needs improvement is reviewing the locations where the drop rates could be adjusted so that characters who do not want to play in a party can also make progress at a reasonable pace.

What would you change or add?​

One change that would make the server better would be to pay more attention to solo players, especially when looking at the long-term future and the situation I will describe in the next point.

A future merge with X2: For or against?​

Against.

This is the most important issue and requires a detailed explanation. I will be expressing not only my own opinion but also the opinions of my friends who are playing on Scryde for the first time, many of whom do not even speak Russian very well.

To put it simply, merging with X2 would be the worst possible decision.

Scryde has attracted a huge number of new players who had been wandering between various C6 servers and classic H5 servers, looking for the right approach from the administration and a higher player count. They finally found both here, on Scryde X5 Classic.

These players are amazed by how helpful and approachable the administration is and by how high the online player count is. At times, it can even feel too high, but that is not a problem at all, because many of these people have been searching for exactly this kind of atmosphere and a lively game world for years.

Many players have also returned to the game after hearing about Scryde Classic. After taking a break for many years to raise their children and focus on their lives, they are now returning to Scryde 2 — specifically to Scryde. This is a huge success that can and should be developed further by creating a new line of Scryde Classic servers, with X5 serving as the main flagship server.

I would also like to point out that all these people will stop playing if the merge takes place. Both my friends and I believe that a great alternative to classic gameplay would be to give players the opportunity to take a one-month break from the classic server by playing on the newly launched X100, only to return to the classic server afterward.

It would be a real shame to waste the opportunity created by all the people who have returned to Scryde after a long break or joined the community for the first time. You have managed to attract a new audience, bring back old players, and build a community that appreciates the classic approach to the game.

In my opinion, this is exactly the direction worth developing, rather than putting the success you have achieved at risk by merging the servers.
